When planning for Thanksgiving festivities with our families this year, it might be fun to do somethings a little differently.

I know especially here in the U.S., we love our Holiday Traditions. Thanksgiving, thankfully, is a lesser hero, generally, than Christmas, so why not take a little time this year to make it shine in its own right?  Of course nothing can replace Santa, and We all know the Pilgrims and Indians need to have their place at the table too, but why not add a little twist here and there?

My newest lens, “Thanksgiving Themes and Prayers“  offers a few suggestions on how to make your Holiday a little more festive and a little different at the same time.  I have laid out several themes, and with them some different prayers, to add to your sense of style and warmth, as you show your gratitude this year.

The “Laugh again” lens  was a charity project initially.  Then I spruced it up a bit to enter into a contest, which it won! Yay!  It is about how a couple of my friends helped me out when I was down, and ways others help each other too.

One of these friends is pictured here on a recent Honduras Medical Mission trip.

The lens benefits ModestNeeds.org, an organization that helps everyday people  get back on their feet when faced with tough times.  That’s an “Everyday Miracle” for sure!

Squidward on Squidoo!

I Really dont want to be here right now

It had to happen.

Squidward, the irritating Squid from Sponge Bob Square Pants that everybody hates to love had to invade Squidoo space.

He demands attention, and is not going to have an entire mecca dedicated to Squids without establishing his own presence.

Squidward does have a heart, beneath all the whining and moaning, and on the rare occasions he bares it it is indeed a special time.  Did you see the one where he blew himself up like a huge octopus so that Mr. Krab could look like a brave “Pirate” for his “Grandpappy”? Or what about when Sponge Bob and Patrick get him kicked out of his Cephalopod Lodge and he actually lets Spongebob sting his tongue with a (Jellyfish ?)

He’s so darn ugly he’s cute!  And for a Forty something Mom who sits through episodes to bond with her 6 year old he at least makes the show fun!

Why is he a miracle?  Because he actually lives to another episode – every single time!

Miracle Wish for Christmas to You!

Anytime is a good time to wish for a miracle, but Christmastime is an especially hopeful time.  If you wish for Christmas to bring you miracles this year, I have the perfect places to start!

My newest lens reveals what some of my friends wish for Christmas this year.

Many of them are wanting to attract a miracle of some kind or another. Healing for a friend, help paying medical bills, money, a job, love, lots of stuff.   It’s really a fun lens, and I invite you to stop by and add your wishes for Christmas too!

Did you know that 23 scientific studies show that we can
help each other attract what we want?

I was surprised when I first heard about his, but over the
last 50 years independently verified studies have shown that
small groups of people holding intentions have lowered crime,
ended wars and improve the economy in their area.

It’s fascinating to learn how much proof there is that this
works.

There’s even a formula that determines how large a group needs
to be to affect the population – and it takes just 8,185 to
affect the world’s population!

The reason I’m telling you about this is because now there is
a new website by Dr. Joe Vitale devoted to helping to gather
together more than 8,185 people to attract miracles.

Each member can ask for miracles, and the entire group can hold
the intention for much larger miracles, too.

If you haven’t heard of Dr. Joe Vitale before, he’s the best
selling author of The Attractor Factor and many other books, and
he’s been featured in over 8 movies, including the hit The Secret!

Maybe you saw him on Larry King Live or The Donny Deutsch show on
CNBC or read one of his books or courses.

Oh, and he includes a ton of his books, courses, audios, and more
for members of the community each month.

I’m very excited about this and I thought since we all could use
miracles right now in our lives that you would want to check it
out for yourself.

Start a new life over from scratch!

Have you ever wished you could just do your life the way you really want it to be?  Well, now you can!  In Second Life, you can be whomever (or whatever) you want to be.  You don’t even have to be human!

I’ve been exploring my Second Life for  more than a year now.  Most of the time I am a Mermaid.  I have so much fun escaping the “real” world and exploring new things with my avatar, KK Dallagio, that I actually sometimes forget my real life woes.

Take a look at my Ever project Squidoo lens on Second Life: http://greatest.secondlife.ever.com/

I don’t see how anyone could deny the real life rewards from taking a little time every now and then to live your fantasy life!

I also keep up a blog on my avatar’s experiences here:  KK Dallagio’s Second Life

I hope to meet new Squidooers in SL world soon!  I have written a guide for newbies in Second Life which I send free to visitors of the lens. Please check it out and comment! http://greatest.secondlife.ever.com/

Have a great (second) life all!

Why “Everyday Miracles”?

I had on my list of things to do a project about “everyday angels”.  When I found Squidtop and set up my blog, that thought was on the forefront of my mind, but “angels” didn’t seem appropriate for a site to talk specifically about my Squidoo experience.  While many of them are about people I consider angels,  I do not stick to one particular theme or type of person in my lenses.  “Miracles” seems more appropriate.  If you are open to finding extraordinary things and people every day, then you are more likely to find them!  I vow now to share with you via this blog and my lenses all things I find miraculous, no matter how small or mundane they may seem to the “everyday” person.

The first lens that comes to mind is a quickie I did recently about a baby boy born 21 weeks premature.

http://www.squidoo.com/littlehands which contains a short blurb about an “everyday miracle” I experienced when viewing pics of him for the first time.

This little fella was a true miracle in every sense of the word!
